Sample Wedding Vows by Rev. Arthur Kelsie

1. (Groom’s name) I take you (Bride’s name) to be my wife. I promise to love you, to trust you, and to cherish you. I will love you when we are apart as well as when we are together, in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad times. I pledge myself to be faithful to you as long as we both shall live. (Repeat for the Bride)

OR

2. (Groom) with joy I make this vow to be your husband. I promise to love and to cherish you, no matter what life may hold for us, to laugh with you in joy, to grieve with you in sorrow, to grow with you in love, and be faithful to you as long as we both shall live. (Repeat for Bride)

OR

3. I (name) join my life to yours, not only as your (husband/wife) but as your friend, faithful partner and lover. I promise to love you unconditionally, honor and respect you and to stand by your side.

OR

4. (Groom’s Name, Bride’s Name) Do you take (Bride’s Name, Groom’s Name) to be your wedded (wife, husband) to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, and forsaking all others keep (her, him) for you alone as long as you both shall live? If so, answer “I Do”
